The picture below shows the amount of precision used to build the background of the map. The red line was version 1.80. The green line is the new background. It is not perfect but I won't smooth it by hand.
Mapsource maps tweaked' means you have to patch your Metro Guide or City Navigator files to make them transparent. A small software does this job but I lost it. I will try to correct this mistake by making my own program.
Theses pictures shows a zoomed area on GPS display with and without Metro Guide Europe tweaked. The content of Metro Guide is displayed on top and masks some details of the background.
And these two last pictures show the map rendering with all the layers and Metro Guide Europe tweaked.
