Known in the whole world, irish Bed & Breakfast is generally faithful to their reputation. Cordial reception and sense of hospitality characterize them in the majority of the cases. However, some hosts offer a minimalist service which, if it is correct, is far from the legend… During my stays, I had the opportunity to test many B&B. Here three best accomodations in my opinion.

It is ideally located for touring the west of Ireland and is only 5 minutes to Castlebar.
Traveling from Castlebar : Take the R311 to Achill Island / Newport. After Sweeney's Shop, turn on your left hand on a small road (before a right bend). Drumshinnagh House is a beautifull house with white and black half-timbering at the first stair. The B&B is on top of an Hill and can be seen from the road if you passed it or if you are coming from Newport.

Traveling from Dublin : take the R115 in the south-west of the city. Pass the Sally Gap and stay on R115. Few minutes (10-20min. it depends how you drive on small roads) after a waterfall (on your right hand) you will arrive at Laragh Mountain View lodge on your left hand.
Traveling from Glendalough : take the R756 to Laragh. Go through Laragh and turn on your left at the first cross road to Sally Gap. Drive few minutes, Laragh Mountain View lodge is on your right hand.
